Maybe it's a tight month. Maybe it's been tight for a while now. Either way, you don't need to explain yourself to get a bag of groceries here. The Table of Grace Food Pantry exists because SBC Wheaton believes a full table shouldn't depend on how much is left in your account at the end of the month.
We're not a food bank with a waiting list or an intake interview designed to weed people out. We're a church down the street, open one Saturday morning a month, with fresh produce, canned goods and household basics set out for anyone who needs them. Come once. Come every month. Bring your kids. Bring a neighbor.

You don't have to pick the 'right' way. Register ahead if you want to make our morning easier, or just show up. Either way, you're getting food.
Takes about a minute through our online form. It helps us know roughly how many families to expect, so we stock enough for everyone, including you.
No registration, no sign-up, no problem. Come to the parking lot entrance between 10 a.m. and noon on the third Saturday and someone will get you set up.
Both paths lead to the same table. Registering just helps us plan.
Third Saturday of the month. Use the back door / parking lot entrance, not the front of the building.
We'll ask your household size, number of kids and zip code, just to help us serve the neighborhood well. No proof of need required, ever.

Fruits and vegetables, when they're in season and in stock. This is often the hardest thing to find at other pantries.

Pantry staples you can build a week of meals around. Quality brands and recognizable items.

Basic household items, as inventory allows each month. Because dignity includes a clean home.
We want your visit to be as simple and stress-free as possible. Here are a few quick answers to help you know exactly what to expect when you arrive.

SBC Wheaton, 1520 Avery Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187. Use the parking lot / back door entrance, not the front doors on Avery Ave.
No. There's no income verification, no case number, nothing to prove. If you need groceries, you're welcome here.
No. We're focused on serving DuPage County broadly, not just our immediate neighborhood.
Nothing is required. A reusable bag or two makes carrying groceries home easier, but we'll have bags if you don't.
Come next month. The Table of Grace runs every third Saturday, so there's always another chance.
Every bag of groceries we hand out this month, someone paid for. Right now, SBC Wheaton covers most of the cost of The Table of Grace Food Pantry out of its own budget. As we grow, we need more hands and more resources to keep up with the neighbors showing up at our door.
If you believe in what we're doing here, whether or not you attend SBC Wheaton, there's a place for you in this. Give financially, give your Friday evening of Saturday mornings a volunteer, or give a case of canned goods. It all keeps the table full for someone who needs it.
